Senior Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery process for analytics and data management projects, ensuring that scope, timelines, quality, and budgetary goals are achieved.

• Develop and implement best practices for delivery, governance models, and execution frameworks across various programs.

• Oversee complex multi-workstream projects that encompass data engineering, data platforms, and analytics solutions.

• Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; lead structured problem-solving initiatives and mitigation strategies.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and realization of value.

• Facilitate executive-level reviews, steering committee meetings, and discussions related to roadmaps.

• Balance client expectations with internal capabilities to ensure sustainable service delivery.

• Build, manage, and scale large globally distributed teams across different regions.

• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and high team satisfaction.

• Mentor delivery managers, technical leads, and emerging talent; assist in career advancement and succession planning.

• Provide leadership in delivering solutions related to data management & data engineering, cloud-based analytics platforms, data warehousing, and modern data stacks.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering leaders to ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

• Drive organic growth within existing accounts by identifying new opportunities and addressing unmet client needs.

• Work closely with sales and leadership teams to support account growth objectives, proposals, and solution development.

• Lead opportunity identification, effort estimation, and define delivery approaches for new initiatives.

• Contribute to the long-term strategy and roadmap planning for accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in delivery, program, or project management within analytics, data management, or data engineering fields.

• Demonstrated experience in managing large, global, cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of data management and data engineering ecosystems.

• Considerable experience with AWS or other cloud data ecosystems (such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, GCP).

• Proficient in SQL & Python.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and project management tools (like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, characterized by a structured, data-driven approach.

• Experience with data clean room solutions, consent platforms, DataOps (including data observability, DQ frameworks, lineage, incident management, and SLO/SLA governance), software/application development (frontend, backend, API management, and design/UX collaboration), and SDLC practices (CI/CD).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, including a strong executive presence.

• Proven track record in account mining, organic business development, and contributing to revenue growth.
