Senior Database Engineer – DBRE, SQL Server, Open Source

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement, migrate, upgrade, and enhance database environments for optimal performance.

• Identify and suggest automation solutions to alleviate operational bottlenecks.

• Manage high-criticality environments.

• Collaborate effectively with development teams.

• Monitor environments and establish mechanisms to ensure stability.

• Develop and execute infrastructure as code, encompassing automation, deployment, and Continuous Delivery.

• Address incidents and conduct root cause analysis to formulate and implement action plans.

• Assist in internal and external audits by detailing database processes and providing required evidence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and managing SQL Server along with at least one other database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform.

• Mandatory experience with Linux.

• Previous exposure to DevOps culture is preferred, including automation for provisioning, configuration, version control, and monitoring of database environments.

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Shell Script, or Java.
