Senior Database Engineer – DBRE, Oracle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement, migrate, upgrade, and enhance performance within database environments.

• Identify and suggest automations to address operational bottlenecks.

• Manage high-criticality database environments.

• Work closely with development teams.

• Monitor database environments and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure system health.

• Develop and execute infrastructure as code, including automation, deployments, and Continuous Delivery.

• Address incidents and conduct root-cause analysis to formulate and implement action plans.

• Assist in internal and external audits by clarifying database processes and providing necessary evidence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and managing Oracle databases.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is advantageous.

• Experience with at least one public cloud platform.

• Essential experience with Linux environments.

• Experience with AIX is preferred.

• Familiarity with a DevOps culture is desirable, including automation for provisioning, configuration, version control, and database monitoring.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Shell Script, or Java.
