Senior Database Administrator – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Managing our e-commerce solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure

• Planning, installing, configuring, supporting, and administering database management systems utilizing Microsoft SQL Server

• Ensuring uninterrupted operations through monitoring, analyzing, performance tuning, troubleshooting, maintenance, reporting, as well as backup and recovery

• Enhancing and optimizing existing database environments

• Assisting with database projects, particularly in the realms of design and implementation

• Planning and executing database migration initiatives

• Analyzing issues and requirements in second-level support while developing sustainable solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional experience

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written

• A curious mindset, enthusiasm for agile work in an innovative environment, and a commitment to continuous development, particularly in Azure and cloud settings

• At least five years of hands-on experience with and in-depth knowledge of administering and operating Microsoft SQL Server in a cloud context

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL databases

• Strong capabilities in designing and implementing solutions within the DBA landscape

• Experience in backup and recovery processes

• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)

• Experience in SQL programming and optimization

• Background with Java-based web applications is advantageous

• Experience with Oracle and knowledge of German are considered a plus
