This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Designing and advancing MySQL architectures

• Conducting research, testing, and supporting the implementation of enhancements for database performance and reliability

• Leading efforts in query optimization and index strategy development

• Establishing monitoring and automation within our database ecosystem

• Facilitating root-cause analysis for database issues: documenting and executing corrective and preventive measures

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5 or more years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

• Demonstrate expertise in MySQL 8 internals, encompassing schema/index design, optimizer behavior in InnoDB, and replication

• Have a solid understanding of Linux (performance, file systems, I/O, process/threading, networking)

• Have some familiarity with shell scripting and/or Python for tooling and automation purposes

• Understand computer networking (TCP, TLS, Load Balancing, DNS, routing/NAT, firewalls) and its implications for databases
