Senior Data Warehouse Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the data architecture and database design of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, working in collaboration with other Data platform architects on the overall architecture of the data warehouse ecosystem.

• Develop logical and physical data models to address the analytical requirements of the organization, guiding and overseeing data modeling initiatives at both project and program levels.

• Establish data standards, naming conventions, and best practices for data architecture.

• Ensure that the data architecture accommodates all types of Data Sets and maintains integrity across various systems.

• Enhance data storage, indexing, and query performance for analytical workloads.

• Partner with the Data Governance team to implement data policies, including metadata management and tracking of data lineage.

• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA based on the industry).

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Communicate architectural decisions and provide direction to development teams.

• Participate in the assessment, testing, and recommendation of new tools, platforms, and technologies (such as cloud data warehouses, BI tools, ETL & MLL frameworks, etc.).

• Remain up-to-date with trends in data architecture, cloud platforms, and big data technologies.

• Oversee data warehouse performance and address bottlenecks or data quality concerns.

• Ensure that data design reflects high availability, reliability, and scalability of the data warehouse environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of demonstrated experience in an Enterprise Data Warehouse Architect role, ideally in environments that integrate data from medical EHR systems into Data warehouse / BI platforms.

• More than 8 years of experience (as a DBA or Data Warehouse Architect) with Snowflake and/or Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB).

• At least 8 years of experience leading data modeling activities for Data Warehouse or analytical solutions.

• Extensive knowledge of database management systems (SQL & NoSQL), online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks.

• Experience in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) that supports multiple analytical outcomes (including Data Mining, AI, and MLL).

• Familiarity with modern BI / Information delivery technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Oracle OAS, Tableau Cloud).

• Experience with contemporary Analytical Data management platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Fabric, etc.).

• Knowledge of common Data Warehouse architecture design strategies and their appropriate applications, including medallion, data lake, data mart, ODS, etc.

• Experience integrating data from medical EHR systems and Workday financial SAAS platforms into Data warehouse / BI platforms.

• Proficient in SQL and NLQ data access techniques and methodologies.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in leading analytical development programs.
