This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia, +3 more states.
• Assisting in Enhancing Data Collection and Publication (approximately 40% of your time)
• Collaborate with OCP program managers to gain insights into the objectives, existing systems & processes, capabilities, and resources of our current partners
• Create support programs tailored to partners based on their objectives, capacity, context, and requirements, and exhibit leadership in implementing the model with the partner
• Oversee and provide guidance on the technical work performed by local consultants
• Analyze data and systems, and offer recommendations for improvements to help partners achieve their goals
• Provide advice on data modeling
• Gather and analyze data to illustrate its value or assist partners in measuring progress toward their goals against performance indicators
• Utilize data visualization techniques to clarify complex data for a non-technical audience
• Provide advisory support to partners transitioning to electronic procurement systems or enhancing their existing databases and electronic systems.
• Create training materials and conduct training sessions on topics related to open data, the OCDS, systems architecture, data analytics, and other relevant areas to support our data initiatives.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization
• Experience with machine-readable formats, such as CSV and JSON
• Skills in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization using open-source tools and common data analysis platforms (particularly Python and SQL; BI is a plus)
• Capability to work with large datasets (currently, our entire database holds tens of GBs of OCDS data)
• Expertise in data interpretation, analysis of results through statistical methods, data collection from primary or secondary sources, and database maintenance
• Experience handling low-quality and fragmented data collection and analysis
• Knowledge in data architecture to facilitate the design and execution of technical architecture for data collection, validation, processing, and outputs
• Proficient in crafting engaging content on complex topics for non-technical audiences
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster robust collaborative relationships with partners and demonstrate effective leadership in guiding technical work
• Experience in managing consultants and supervising technical projects
• Skills in design and user research
• Exceptional written and spoken English
