Senior Data Scientist – Workday Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• You will be tasked with creating high-quality AI and ML solutions for our rapidly expanding range of Workday products, which includes Kainos Smart (Smart Test, Smart Audit, and Smart Shield), Employee Document Management, and Pay Transparency Analyzer.

• Your role will involve the design and implementation of sophisticated AI/ML solutions that enhance the functionality, scalability, and efficiency of our Workday product line.

• You may also take on formal line management duties, including conducting appraisals for junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically, 4-5 years of relevant industry experience, or fewer years if complemented by a relevant PhD.

• Skilled in applying mathematics, statistics, and machine learning principles to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

• Proficient in Python programming, emphasizing the creation of clean, efficient, and maintainable code for developing and deploying reliable AI/ML solutions in production settings.

• Practical experience with machine learning frameworks (such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) to design and implement solutions.

• Experience in deploying AI/ML models to production systems in partnership with engineering teams.

• Background in generative AI use cases, utilizing large language models (like OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face Transformers) to address real-world challenges such as text summarization, chatbots, or content generation.

• Basic familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience in creating interactive visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Dash or Streamlit to effectively communicate findings.

• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading client projects and conveying technical concepts in a manner that is easily understood by non-technical audiences.
