This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement machine learning models for search and recommendation systems, focusing on ranking, retrieval, personalization, and query comprehension.
• Develop ranking and recommendation models utilizing user behavior, embeddings, content signals, and contextual features.
• Build personalization systems that customize results based on user behavior, preferences, and contextual cues.
• Collaborate with data and search engineers to construct scalable data pipelines that support search and recommendation systems.
• Work alongside software engineers to integrate ML models into production services through APIs.
• Design and conduct A/B tests to assess model performance and its impact on business outcomes.
• Track offline and online metrics to uncover opportunities for enhancing relevance, ranking, and user engagement.
• Leverage modern ML and GenAI techniques to enhance search and discovery experiences.
• Contribute to best practices in modeling, experimentation, and production ML systems.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• Significant expertise in search, recommendation systems, or ranking challenges.
• Practical experience with Elasticsearch and/or Solr.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Spark and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of integrating ML models into production systems through APIs.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals, including supervised learning, ranking models, embeddings, and deep learning.
• Exposure to GenAI tools (OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
• Experience in Agile work environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
