This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offer preconstruction assistance throughout the project approval phase, supply historical cost information, and aid in the formulation of annual contractor purchase orders.
• Oversee the internal project budget and schedule of values using project management software, ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting for various New Builds and Retrofit projects on campus.
• Manage external project budgets and communication via external project management software, including commitment management, change management, and document control.
• Handle monthly forecasts and cash flows, comprehend forecast variances, and create monthly executive reports.
• Supervise the monthly vendor invoice review process in invoicing software, which includes project management review, third-party auditing services, and liaising with Accounts Payable.
• Ensure precise quarterly accrual reporting for all existing purchase orders on campus, including coordination with vendors and Finance.
• Facilitate the routing and review processes for change orders within project management software, including content analysis and obtaining executive approval as necessary.
• Evaluate project financial health monthly with the management team through dashboards, budget software, schedule comparisons, productivity reports, and more.
• Oversee updates to the Internal and Contractor Risk Register and evaluate contingencies.
• Finalize financial closeout of internal budgets, vendor purchase orders, and related matters.
• Collaborate closely with the Site Scheduler to ensure financial forecasts and risks align with schedule updates.
• Support programmatic initiatives, training efforts, and alignment opportunities.
• Directly manage approximately 3-5 staff overseeing various data center locations.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control for all deliverables, guaranteeing all deadlines are met.
• Be aware that SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and must be followed where applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in construction management or engineering.
• At least eight years of professional experience in construction and project planning for large, multi-project construction programs.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively and a strong problem-solving approach.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Google Suite.
• Familiarity with cost control tools such as eBuilder, Procore, or similar platforms is essential.
• Capacity to convey financial statuses and schedule specifics from multiple construction sites to project managers clearly.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills are crucial in this highly collaborative position.
