Senior Data Scientist – Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of ML projects: from defining problems to implementing solutions, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with data engineers to construct datasets, establish data requirements, and evaluate feasibility, risks, and limitations.

• Partner with data analysts to design and interpret A/B tests, focusing on metrics, splits, result analysis, and recommendations for solution deployment.

• Create and train models (including both classic ML and DL), focusing on solutions for text and image embeddings; perform offline evaluations and error assessments.

• Deploy models and code into production (as Python services), ensuring support for releases and integrations.

• Take responsibility for model quality after launch, including monitoring metrics, tracking drift/degradation, devising improvement plans, and establishing support procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, particularly in pricing tasks.

• Proven ability to manage end-to-end ML projects in production, from setup through to support.

• Strong grasp of classical ML concepts: feature engineering, boosting, classification/regression, cross-validation, threshold selection, and calibration.

• Experience with Deep Learning (PyTorch/TensorFlow), including an understanding of fine-tuning principles and model inference.

• Proficient in Python for production use: ensuring code readability, writing tests for critical components, and understanding model/artifact packaging and service integration.

• Familiarity with ML monitoring practices: quality metrics, drift detection, alerts, diagnostics, and support procedures.

• SQL skills adequate for independently building datasets (including joins and window functions).

• Knowledge of model interpretability and conducting error analysis.

• Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow, W&B, or DVC.

• Competence in orchestration/pipelines (using Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster) and advanced data processing techniques.

• Conversational proficiency in English.
