Senior Data Scientist – Midshift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Provide high-quality production solutions for data extraction, classification, triaging, routing, search, and orchestration of agentic workflows.

• Design, construct, and enhance agent-based systems capable of planning, reasoning, and executing multi-step tasks through the use of tools and APIs.

• Programmatically analyze data, extract statistically sound insights, and communicate results to colleagues with varying levels of expertise.

• Develop and sustain workflow pipelines that integrate LLMs, external tools, and business logic to facilitate scalable automation.

• Annotate and verify datasets of different sizes, utilizing both manual techniques and programmatic as well as AI-driven methods.

• Assess the performance of models and comprehensive agentic systems utilizing practical and statistical benchmarks.

• Work collaboratively with other scientists, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to devise solutions that address business challenges.

• Create, contribute to, refine, and communicate both technical and non-technical documentation for the solutions developed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in applying quantitative methods within a corporate setting.

• Proficiency in Python with a focus on functional programming paradigms, capable of managing dependencies, virtual environments, and version control using git.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure.

• Strong knowledge in supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as experience in deep learning and transfer learning techniques.

• Experience in designing and implementing agentic workflows, which include chaining, tool utilization, memory management, and decision-making logic.

• Background in working with generative AI and foundational models (e.g., GPT-4o, Mistral), encompassing prompting, orchestration, and evaluation of agent behaviors.

• Experience in developing solutions from initial concept through to deployment.

• Possession of a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline.

• Familiarity with sequential algorithms (e.g., LSTM, RNN, GRU, etc.).

• Experience in building or contributing to agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or similar orchestration layers).

• Understanding of the ethical implications of AI and considerations for managing these aspects.
