Senior Data Scientist – Marketing Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will develop innovative models and solutions to improve and simplify marketing decision-making processes, seamlessly integrating them into our leading technology platform.

• You will evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing efforts by utilizing advanced methodologies such as attribution analysis, incrementality tests, and media mix modeling, translating the insights gained into actionable strategies for marketing budget allocation.

• You will utilize your expertise in managing large data sets to perform thorough analyses from inception to completion, including data preparation, model training, and comprehensive evaluation.

• You will take ownership of, enhance, and advocate for best practices and scientific models related to Machine Learning, advanced statistics, and predictive modeling within the team.

• You will become part of a dynamic Data Science team, collaborating closely with a talented group of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts who offer a range of experiences and skills. Together, we will advance Emma's marketing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess an academic degree (Master's or PhD) in computer science, applied mathematics, data science, statistics, or a related field.

• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist in an industry environment.

• You have strong and demonstrable knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.

• Ideally, you possess hands-on experience with marketing measurement methodologies, particularly Media Mix Modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution (MTA), including model design, calibration, and translating outputs into actionable investment recommendations.

• You have robust experience with Python and its common machine learning libraries (e.g., sklearn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).

• You have experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS), MLOps, and version control.

• Ideally, you have practical experience in deploying, maintaining, and updating models in a production environment.

• You have experience collaborating with business stakeholders, including gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions, and conveying technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
