Senior Data Scientist – Leadership Responsibility

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Conduct data analysis and engage in Data Science activities, including data mining, clustering, forecasting, recommendation systems, and classification.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data across various systems.

• Make data-driven decisions and formulate strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Community Management, and Executive Management teams.

• Connect quantitative analysis with qualitative feedback from the community.

• Establish best practices, including code reviews and comprehensive documentation.

• Offer technical and, potentially, disciplinary leadership to a small team.

• Assist in the development and strategic expansion of the Data Science function.

• Collaborate with Executive Management to define the long-term data strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Ability to analyze data effectively and convert it into actionable business insights.

• Proficient in identifying patterns and understanding their business implications.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Demonstrated interest in leadership roles and taking on responsibility.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• An AI-focused mindset.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (including libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn).

• Experience with statistical analysis, databases, and tools like Excel/Google Sheets.

• Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

• Business-fluent in German (minimum C1 level) and proficient in English.
