Senior Data Scientist – GenAI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Engage in cutting-edge data science applications to address business challenges.

• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to convert business issues into comprehensive analytics solution frameworks.

• Deliver presentations on analytic solutions to business groups, emphasizing the solution's reliability and its potential to create business value.

• Create end-to-end solutions grounded in a thorough understanding of business challenges, ensuring analytics solutions are implemented efficiently, predictably, and sustainably.

• Design and implement **machine learning and Generative AI solutions** utilizing Databricks and Azure AI services.

• Develop **LLM-powered applications** and manage workflows through **LangGraph**.

• Create **agentic AI workflows** for automation, insights generation, and decision-making support.

• Apply **Document Intelligence solutions** to extract insights from unstructured data.

• Engage in discussions with team members to identify and implement relevant analytic methodologies, producing actionable business insights.

• Accountable for presenting findings to senior management, relaying results to business teams, and formulating plans to operationalize analytic solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8 - 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Data Science.

• Proficient in **Python and SQL**.

• Familiarity with **MLflow** and model lifecycle management.

• Generative AI Expertise: Strong understanding of next-generation AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and other contemporary generative AI applications.

• Experience with sequential algorithms (e.g., LSTM, RNN, transformer, etc.).

• Proficient with Bedrock, JumpStart, and HuggingFace.

• Experience assessing the ethical ramifications of AI and managing them (e.g., red-teaming).

• Expertise in both supervised and unsupervised learning, with experience in deep learning and transfer learning.

• Knowledge of generative algorithms (e.g., GAN, VAE, etc.) and familiarity with pre-trained models (e.g., LLaMa, SAM, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with **Databricks Model Serving**.

• Capability to collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to integrate analytic outputs into business processes.

• Experience constructing **end-to-end ML pipelines in production**.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and model governance.

• Ability to design scalable and dependable AI systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or equivalent professional experience.
