Senior Data Scientist – f/m/x

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable machine learning models to enhance vehicle sales and demand management.

• Recognize business opportunities and work alongside stakeholders to convert complex business needs into machine learning solutions that foster growth and impact.

• Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate Data Science services into the Auto1 technology infrastructure.

• Track and enhance model performance in production, share outcomes with stakeholders, and formulate actionable next steps.

• Guide and mentor junior data scientists, establishing technical direction and upholding best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience with a wide array of machine learning techniques, including both traditional methods and neural networks, along with the ability to select the suitable technique for various complex real-world business scenarios.

• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design, including A/B testing.

• Extensive expertise in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, and TensorFlow, with a focus on coding best practices and performing code reviews using git/github.

• Demonstrated success in managing the full lifecycle of data science projects, from initial design and development to deploying robust models in production, utilizing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent communication and visualization skills, with experience presenting clearly and effectively to both peers and executive/non-technical audiences.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively; you are a natural team player and fluent in English.
