This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and manage data infrastructure — including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality; ensure a robust foundation.
• Examine product usage and user behavior — recognize patterns, categorize users, and extract key insights from data; adopt a product-oriented mindset, not just a data-centric one.
• Create deployable models — including LLM-based systems and traditional ML techniques (classification, clustering, NLP), along with evaluation frameworks; tailor solutions to address specific challenges.
• Establish and monitor crucial metrics — such as activation, retention, engagement, and PQLs; link data insights to product and go-to-market strategies.
• Conduct experiments and assess impact — implementing A/B testing, causal analysis, and cohort studies; maintain a rigorous yet swift approach.
• Transform data into actionable product insights — you don’t merely provide charts; you guide the team on necessary actions and reasoning.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, data engineering, and analytics — proficient in all three areas, not limited to one.
• Proficient in SQL and Python — skilled in complex queries, data modeling, scripting, and analysis; these are your everyday tools.
• Experience with Databricks or a comparable modern data platform (such as Snowflake or BigQuery).
• Familiarity with LLMs — including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation; beyond just making API calls.
• Strong foundation in traditional ML — encompassing classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and feature engineering; capable of selecting the appropriate tool for each problem.
• Product-oriented mindset — able to discern meaningful insights from noise, comprehend user behavior, and correlate analysis with product decisions.
• Expertise in pipeline engineering — capable of constructing dependable, scalable data pipelines, rather than fragile notebooks that fail in production.
• Excellent communicator — able to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
• Generous paid parental leave.
• Flexible time off.
• Spending accounts.
• Medical insurance.
• Dental insurance.
• Vision insurance.
• Sabbatical after 5 years and additional benefits.
