Senior Data Scientist, Consumer

📋 Description

• Generate actionable insights to enhance product strategy through observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to facilitate decision-making based on recommendations.

• Elevate the team's experimentation practices by providing guidance on design, execution, and in-depth analyses to optimize learning outcomes from A/B tests.

• Develop new ETLs, tables, dashboards, and other self-service tools to empower fellow data scientists and cross-functional partners to access and interact with data efficiently.

• Design, assess, and/or quantify team-level KPIs to support quarterly goal setting and showcase team contributions.

• Consistently engage with stakeholders to collect feedback and share updates throughout all stages of work, ensuring alignment between Data Science and other teams regarding business objectives and outcomes.

• Mentor junior data scientists and business partners in best practices and methodologies in data science, aiming to enhance data literacy and improve decision-making processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.

• For those with an M.S.: A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in applied science or data science positions.

• For those with a Ph.D.: At least 4 years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.

• Proficiency in querying relational databases (SQL) and programming languages (e.g., R / Python).

• A strong understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing), causal inference, and statistical methodologies.

• Comfortable working in innovative and fast-paced environments with a proactive approach.

• Excellent technical communication and data storytelling abilities, with a proven track record of discussing intricate topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capable of addressing ambiguous and undefined challenges by formulating an action plan, seeking feedback, and iterating as necessary.
