Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and convert them into technical projects.

• Identify suitable data sources and perform necessary data aggregations and feature engineering.

• Utilize Python programming to create visualizations, develop, and implement models.

• Maintain flexibility and openness to innovative concepts and alternative problem-solving approaches.

• Communicate results effectively to non-technical stakeholders, persuading them to adopt predictive models.

• Design, validate, and deploy advanced machine learning models aimed at predicting business outcomes and guiding strategic and operational decisions.

• Construct and assess predictive models for production systems, encompassing real-time scoring and model-driven product workflows.

• Evaluate model performance through A/B testing and other experimental techniques to enhance business results.

• Keep updated with industry-leading practices and cutting-edge methodologies in data science.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.

• Have a thorough understanding of statistical principles and machine learning algorithms.

• Specifically, expertise in techniques such as K-Means, Linear Regression and GLM, Random Forest, GBM, XGBoost, and various segmentation methods is essential for daily tasks.

• Exhibit excellent communication abilities.

• Capability to engage in large-scale, cross-functional projects.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data science with a successful track record of delivering comprehensive, end-to-end data science projects is advantageous.
