Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Taking complete ownership of the development of identity verification machine learning models, from initial prototyping to full production, while ensuring measurable impacts in live environments.

• Assuming full responsibility for key performance indicators such as verification accuracy and false acceptance rates, while continuously pushing the limits within high-security constraints.

• Shaping and influencing our internal models, assessing external vendor solutions, and enhancing instrumentation to gather valuable insights while creating innovative machine learning products.

• Defining key metrics, deriving insights based on data, and executing experiments to evaluate the overall impact of our biometric machine learning solutions on identity verification.

• Collaborating both independently and with other engineers to define and implement significant product features within the biometrics sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven professional experience managing end-to-end processes in the identity verification sector, successfully deploying high-performance machine learning models for the verification of physical identity documents.

• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Machine Learning concepts, particularly in Computer Vision, Data Extraction, and Anomaly Detection methodologies.

• Practical experience with Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, as well as with Gradient Boosted model libraries like XGBoost or CatBoost.

• Excellent product thinking abilities.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Capable of effectively communicating results and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
