This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, construct, train, assess, and implement machine learning models.
• Create predictive models for churn, propensity, lead scoring, customer lifetime value, recommendation engines, forecasting, and marketing attribution.
• Conduct statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, causal inference, and A/B testing evaluations.
• Develop feature engineering and model training workflows.
• Implement and oversee production ML models, including monitoring for model drift and retraining as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and senior leadership teams.
• Guide junior data scientists and promote best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's or PhD is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in constructing and deploying production ML systems, demonstrating a history of measurable business impact.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Expertise in Machine Learning techniques including XGBoost, LightGBM, Random Forests, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning.
• Strong foundation in Statistics: Regression, Bayesian methods, hypothesis testing, experimental design, time series analysis, and causal inference.
• Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, Matillion, dbt, Pandas, Spark, and Airflow.
• Experience with Google Cloud (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools including MLflow, Kubeflow, and Vertex AI.
• Understanding of data quality and observability frameworks like Great Expectations and Monte Carlo.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, RAG, and vector databases.
