Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide trustworthy analysis within defined timelines: stakeholders have confidence in both the results and the estimated time of arrival; assumptions and constraints are clearly outlined.

• Convert business challenges into analytical and system requirements: transform vague requests into well-defined scopes, metric specifications, and data agreements.

• Develop and sustain internal decision-making systems: create lightweight tools and workflows to ensure insights are both reproducible and manageable by others.

• Collaborate with GTM teams: assist Sales/GTM in transitioning from “interesting analysis” to actionable steps (e.g., prospecting lists, territory planning, experimentation).

• Identify issues proactively: uncover anomalies, faulty assumptions, or misallocated resources without waiting for a formal request.

• Aid in fundraising preparedness: contribute to a continuously reliable data reservoir and reporting that leadership can depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, applied machine learning, or machine learning engineering in a rapidly growing setting.

• Strong foundation in applied analytics/data science (including statistics, experimentation, causal reasoning, forecasting, etc.).

• Proven capability to define unclear problems and facilitate decision-making with stakeholders.

• Proficient in writing production-quality code (particularly in Python) and constructing maintainable internal systems (beyond just notebooks).

• Exceptional communication skills: able to clarify trade-offs, assumptions, and recommendations to non-technical audiences.

• High level of ownership and autonomy in a dynamic environment; capable of functioning with minimal process.
