This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Manage comprehensive Data Science projects, from identifying needs to delivering outcomes.
• Convert business challenges and goals into statistical models, predictive algorithms, and Machine Learning solutions.
• Organize, structure, and document analytical projects to ensure governance, traceability, and scalability.
• Develop, validate, monitor, and enhance statistical and Machine Learning models.
• Collaborate with business teams and Data Engineering to establish requirements, data sources, and implementation strategies.
• Conduct exploratory analyses, data cleaning, and preparation.
• Define success metrics, track model performance, and suggest continuous improvements.
• Create executive materials, reports, and presentations, translating technical results for various audiences.
• Facilitate alignment and follow-up meetings with stakeholders, fostering incremental deliveries and ongoing feedback collection.
• Assess analytical approaches, risks, limitations, and trade-offs.
• Act as a technical reference, providing support to junior and mid-level data scientists through mentoring, technical reviews, and methodological guidance.
• Advocate for best practices in Data Science, model governance, and the development of the analytics community.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Quantitative Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Postgraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Data Scientist, managing end-to-end projects.
• Advanced skills in SQL and programming in Python and/or R.
• In-depth knowledge of Statistics, Mathematical Modeling, Machine Learning, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with code versioning using Git.
• Proven experience in building, validating, monitoring, and evolving statistical and predictive models.
• Familiarity with data architecture and data management, with regular interaction with Data Engineering teams.
• Capability to communicate results and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Preferred experience with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud services for data and Machine Learning.
• Preferred experience with MLOps, pipeline automation, and deploying models into production.
• Strong ability to tackle complex business challenges using data.
• Ability to independently lead projects with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Capacity to influence decisions through evidence-based analysis and recommendations.
• Collaborative spirit and a desire to share knowledge and develop others.
• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continually exploring new techniques, methodologies, and innovative solutions.
