This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create, implement, and launch machine learning models to address practical business issues.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to establish project objectives and outcomes.
• Examine large datasets to derive actionable insights and pinpoint areas for optimization.
• Oversee experimentation and model validation processes, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Guide junior data scientists and aid in the development of the data science team.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• An advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficiency at all stages of the ML pipeline involving very large datasets.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• A solid grasp of statistical modeling concepts.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
• Familiarity with deep learning techniques.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in deploying models in production settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools is preferred.
• Experience with time-series models, XGBoost, churn prediction, customer segmentation, and clustering techniques is preferred.
