This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take charge of the complete methodology for causal inference, identification strategies, and predictive modeling.
β’ Design, conduct, and assess experiments β encompassing everything from hypothesis formulation to power analysis and result interpretation.
β’ Engage in product initiatives where data signals serve as the primary deliverable, rather than merely a supplementary element.
β’ Collaborate closely with Product, Economics, and Research teams as key stakeholders to convert business inquiries into robust analytical frameworks.
β’ Work alongside Engineering to implement models and evaluation pipelines, ensuring that analytical outputs are ready for production.
β’ Generate actionable insights and articulate complex methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
β’ Maintain high standards in documenting approaches, assumptions, methodologies, and results β fostering institutional knowledge that expands with the team.
β’ Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
β’ At least 5 years of practical experience in a data science or applied research position.
β’ Strong understanding of causal inference and experimental design (A/B testing, quasi-experiments, difference-in-differences, IV, etc.).
β’ Expertise in predictive modeling, including regression, classification, time-series analysis, and familiarity with contemporary ML frameworks.
β’ Statistical rigor β you can discern when a result is significant and defend that perspective.
β’ Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels) and SQL, with comfort in cloud data environments (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent).
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you have the ability to translate a p-value into a product decision.
