Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, train, validate, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models in production settings utilizing big data.

• Implement sophisticated anomaly detection and pattern recognition methods to uncover irregularities, fraudulent activities, operational risks, or unusual behaviors within the data.

• Conduct A/B testing and statistical experimentation to confirm hypotheses, gauge impact, and enhance information analysis products.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business, tax/accounting) to convert requirements into data science applications.

• Maintain data integrity through pipeline cleaning, validation, orchestration, and monitoring processes.

• Create and sustain technical documentation, metrics dashboards, and reports on model performance.

• Suggest innovative solutions based on predictive models, advanced analytics, and generative AI techniques that provide strategic advantages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's/Doctorate preferred).

• 6–12 years of experience in data science, including a minimum of 3 years leading production projects.

• Strong experience in supervised learning, A/B testing, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition.

• Proven experience in deploying ML/DL models with millions of records or transactions into production.

• Proficient in Python (required), with advanced skills in R and SQL.

• Familiarity with ML pipelines, MLOps, and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Knowledge of ML/DL frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.

• Experience in anomaly detection techniques (Isolation Forest, LOF, autoencoders, Prophet, ARIMA, robust statistics).

• Background in pattern recognition and predictive modeling (clustering, time series, sequences, recurrent neural networks).

• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases; experience with vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, Milvus).

• Excellent data visualization skills (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI, Tableau).

• Experience with model testing and cross-validation.
