Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement sophisticated AI/ML models tailored for telecom applications, including Network optimization, Traffic prediction, anomaly detection, and QoS/QoE modeling along with root cause analysis.

• Utilize and modify cutting-edge AI techniques, such as Deep Learning (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), Reinforcement Learning for network optimization, and scalable Time-series modeling.

• Engage thoroughly with authentic telecom network data (3G/4G/5G), gaining insights into KPIs, counters, and traffic dynamics.

• Create production-ready solutions that prioritize scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers and telecom specialists to embed AI models into operational systems.

• Serve as a technical resource within the team, contributing to best practices and maintaining code quality.

• Investigate and implement Generative AI and LLM-based strategies for telecom applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.

• 6–8+ years of practical experience utilizing Machine Learning in technical settings.

• Strong, hands-on expertise in telecom networks, including RAN, KPIs, and traffic behavior.

• Demonstrated experience with telecom network datasets.

• In-depth knowledge of Machine Learning & Deep Learning Neural Networks and model optimization techniques.

• Proficiency in Time-series analysis.

• Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow).

• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Exposure to Generative AI / LLM technologies (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning) with a keen interest in their application in telecom operations or network management.

• Strong analytical mindset coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.

• English proficiency at level B2 or higher.
