This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of ML projects: defining tasks, developing solutions, testing, deploying, and providing ongoing support;
• Collaborate with data engineers to establish datasets and data requirements while evaluating feasibility, risks, and limitations;
• Engage in the design and analysis of A/B tests alongside data analysts, focusing on metrics, data splits, interpreting results, and recommending solutions for implementation;
• Create and train models (both classic ML and deep learning), including approaches for text and image embeddings; perform offline evaluations and error analyses;
• Deploy the model and associated code into production (as a Python service), ensuring support for releases and integrations;
• Take ownership of model quality post-launch: monitoring metrics, addressing drift/degradation, formulating improvement plans, and adhering to support regulations;
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist;
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end ML projects in production, from setup through to support;
• Proficient in deep learning (PyTorch/TensorFlow), with a solid understanding of fine-tuning principles and model inference;
• Experience in Python (production quality): writing readable code, creating tests for critical components, and comprehending model/artifact packaging and integration into services;
• Knowledge of ML monitoring practices: quality metrics, drift detection, alerts, diagnostics, and support guidelines;
• Proficient in SQL, capable of independently assembling datasets (joins, window functions);
• Familiarity with model interpretability and conducting error analyses;
• Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow, W&B, DVC, or similar;
• Understanding of the ML stack, including classic machine learning algorithms, basic ranking approaches (pointwise, pairwise) and their practical applications; experience with time series is a plus;
• Conversational proficiency in English;
