This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• You will create innovative models and algorithms that empower our clients to make informed decisions regarding promotions and pricing.
• You will integrate new functionalities into Cognira’s forecasting platform.
• You will be accountable for delivering forecast and strategy solutions utilizing Cognira’s forecasting platform.
• You will employ a diverse array of statistical and quantitative analyses to tackle real-world business challenges effectively.
• You will engage in processing, cleansing, and ensuring the accuracy of data used for analysis.
• You will assist in developing and sustaining comprehensive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis.
• You will write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• You will collaborate with subject matter experts from other teams and business representatives from our clients to enhance your learning.
• Strong academic background in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or the physical sciences.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Capability to devise innovative solutions or design algorithms that meet real-world client requirements.
• Proficient in Python with at least 5 years of experience, including expertise in key frameworks such as Pandas, PySpark, or NumPy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to maintaining high code quality while working within a shared repository.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations.
• A passion for learning and mastering new technologies and techniques.
• A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to share ideas and adopt the best practices.
• You are determined, focused, self-reliant, and maintain an optimistic outlook.
• Preferably, you possess retail experience.
• Experience in a distributed development environment using git and Jira is advantageous.
• Familiarity with scaled data environments utilizing Spark and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience working in a Linux environment is beneficial.
• A Ph.D. degree is highly regarded.
