Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Utilize advanced analytical skills and contemporary AI technologies to conceptualize, create, and enhance impactful solutions.

• Design, develop, and launch GenAI-enabled internal applications, copilots, and workflow facilitators.

• Create reusable AI elements, which include retrieval pipelines, structured prompting frameworks, orchestration workflows, and evaluation tools.

• Formulate retrieval strategies that link LLMs to dependable internal knowledge repositories, ensuring accurate and trustworthy results.

• Develop and sustain statistical and machine learning models to aid in automation, optimization, forecasting, and classification applications.

• Establish evaluation and validation frameworks to assess the quality, accuracy, and consistency of AI-driven systems.

• Collaborate across teams to pinpoint high-impact opportunities for AI integration throughout the organization.

• Generate reusable datasets, feature pipelines, and experimentation frameworks to facilitate iterative development.

• Maintain high standards for quality, reliability, and ethical AI practices.

• Participate in peer review processes to guarantee technical rigor and sustainability.

• Record methodologies, assumptions, and implementation specifics to ensure transparency and reproducibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in developing applications or workflows that leverage large language models (LLMs).

• Proven builder mindset evidenced by delivered AI tools, internal platforms, or automation solutions.

• Demonstrable experience applying machine learning methods in production or enterprise settings.

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI-oriented roles.

• Strong enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies with the capability to assess and adopt them responsibly.

• Educational background in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a similar discipline.

• Familiarity with vector databases, embedding models, or semantic retrieval systems is preferred.

• Experience in designing internal AI platforms or collaborative enablement frameworks is preferred.

• Knowledge of API-driven architectures and integrating AI functionalities into enterprise systems is preferred.

• Awareness of ethical AI practices, governance frameworks, or model lifecycle management is preferred.
