Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead Machine Learning and Analytics projects, from identifying business opportunities to deploying and maintaining production-ready solutions.

• Comprehend business challenges and convert them into analytical and technical hypotheses.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to outline data and AI products.

• Assess the most appropriate solution consumption model (real-time, batch, dashboards, APIs, or insights).

• Aid in defining business rules and requirements for Machine Learning products.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and verify hypotheses.

• Design and develop Machine Learning models and experimentation pipelines.

• Establish data architecture, algorithms, and product evolution roadmaps.

• Implement, test, optimize, and review code for models and pipelines.

• Create deployment, orchestration, and monitoring processes for production models.

• Assist in the maintenance of solutions and the continuous improvement of products.

• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership teams.

• Define success metrics, benchmarks, and performance indicators.

• Collect and integrate stakeholder feedback to enhance solutions continuously.

• Lead technical discussions and prioritize initiatives effectively.

• Mentor data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth.

• Advocate for best practices in development, governance, and documentation.

• Convert technical outcomes into quantifiable business impact.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related domains.

• High proficiency in Python or R along with Machine Learning libraries/frameworks.

• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, experimentation, and data analysis.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning models in production settings.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with MLOps concepts, model monitoring, version control, and pipeline orchestration.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience dealing with large-scale datasets.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset, consultative approach, and results-driven attitude.

• Experience with Databricks, MLflow, Lakehouse architectures, or similar platforms (Nice-to-Have).

• Understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and RAG architectures (Nice-to-Have).

• Background in retail, consumer goods, or other data-intensive environments (Nice-to-Have).
