Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and implement causal analyses of real-world health data to assess the effects of medications and interventions on patient outcomes and associated costs.

• Develop, validate, and integrate predictive and causal models as well as AI tools into Arine's medication management platform.

• Collaborate with clinicians and HEOR researchers to articulate questions as clearly defined causal estimands and convert findings into clinical and operational actions.

• Prepare presentations and reports to communicate methodologies, assumptions, and results to the Data Science team and other cross-functional stakeholders.

• Engage in critical evaluations within the Data Science team regarding aspects from methodologies and study design to implementation strategies and coding.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Computer Science, a quantitative or physical science, or a related discipline.

• A solid foundation in statistical inference and study design, with proven expertise in causal modeling using observational data.

• Practical, hands-on experience with causal machine learning techniques.

• Significant experience (3+ years) working with real-world healthcare data, such as medical and pharmacy claims or EHR data, and analyzing patient outcomes.

• Proficiency in managing practical challenges associated with real-world data, including missingness, confounding, selection bias, and measurement error.

• Expertise in R, Python (including scikit-learn, pandas, numpy), and SQL.

• Experience in collaborating across functions to establish analysis objectives and deliver analytical insights.

• Proven ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple projects, and solve problems under tight deadlines and resource limitations.

• Exceptional written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the capability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to audiences with varying degrees of technical expertise.
