Senior Data Scientist, AI Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Engineers and Data Engineers to create reliable, efficient, and scalable data foundations, tools, and processes that support the long-term growth of our AI/ML capabilities.

• Utilize data-driven insights to proactively pinpoint the most impactful opportunities, directly influencing product roadmaps and strategies for Dash Chat and Search.

• Conduct exploratory and in-depth analyses to comprehend user workflows and engagement patterns with AI features, propose hypotheses, and design and implement experiments with precision and effective data techniques.

• Convert complex data insights into actionable implications and recommendations for the business using exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Determine the most critical priorities and ruthlessly prioritize tasks for the area you will oversee.

• Foster a culture of strong technical ownership, collaborating with Data Science leadership to continuously evolve the Data Science working model and enhance its impact.

• Engage with cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, Design, User Research, and senior executives) to swiftly execute and iterate on projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience utilizing data-driven analysis to influence product roadmaps and business decisions, preferably within a technology company.

• A proven history of working independently, driving measurable business impact, and proactively engaging with business stakeholders with minimal guidance.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming/scripting languages.

• In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, and standard analytical techniques such as regression and decision trees.

• Capability to deliver data insights and recommendations for 0→1 products, even when the sample size is limited.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
