Senior Data Scientist – AI, ML, FinTech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Involvement in machine learning within the credit process: You will create machine learning models that directly influence decision-making in the consumer installment loan sector.

• Utilization of contemporary techniques from data science, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

• AI product features (preferred): Ideally, you will contribute to the development of initial AI features and LLM-based applications that are integrated into our digital installment loan workflows.

• Collaboration with data and product teams: You will work closely with Data Engineering, Product Management, and Data Analytics, leveraging our existing data foundation to create scalable ML solutions.

• Comprehensive responsibility: You will oversee ML models from conception through development, assessment, deployment to production readiness, and ongoing optimization.

• Advancement of our AI capabilities: You will introduce new methodologies from machine learning and artificial intelligence and support the enhancement of our data-driven products and use cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production ML: You possess several years of experience in developing and managing machine learning models within production systems.

• Experience with MLOps is preferred.

• Strong ML stack: You have proficiency in Python and popular machine learning frameworks, and you can manage the training, evaluation, and iterative enhancement of models in production settings.

• Familiarity with real product environments: You comprehend the challenges associated with production systems and can merge technical, business, and data requirements effectively.

• Converting business needs into ML: You are capable of translating intricate business processes into valuable machine learning applications, models, and features.

• Initial exposure to LLMs: Ideally, you have hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), generative AI, or integrating these technologies into applications and are eager to expand this knowledge further.

• Structure and ownership: You work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and reliably advance data science and ML initiatives to production.

• Data responsibility in regulated environments: You are mindful of data protection and handling sensitive information, preferably in a FinTech, banking, or other regulated settings.

• Language proficiency: You possess German language skills at a minimum of C1 level, both in writing and speaking.
