Senior Data Scientist – Ads Marketplace, Platform Optimization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement **data science and machine learning solutions** aimed at enhancing ads marketplace performance.

• Analyze extensive datasets to identify **patterns in marketplace behavior** such as bidding, pricing, engagement, and conversion.

• Create models for **prediction, anomaly detection, and optimization** purposes.

• Define and monitor **core marketplace metrics** including supply/demand balance, auction efficiency, and advertiser value.

• Develop **data assets** such as tables, dashboards, and self-service tools to enable product and engineering teams.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to **translate marketplace challenges into data science solutions**.

• Design and evaluate **A/B experiments and causal inference frameworks** to assess impact.

• Convey insights and recommendations to **cross-functional stakeholders**.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in **Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Statistics**.

• Significant experience with **marketplace platforms** such as ads platforms, ride-sharing, e-commerce, or similar two-sided ecosystems.

• Profound knowledge of **marketplace dynamics** including auction systems, pricing, supply/demand, ranking, or allocation issues.

• Solid foundation in **statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimental design**.

• Familiarity with **large-scale data processing** tools like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or BigQuery.

• Advanced skills in **SQL** and experience with large relational datasets.

• Strong programming abilities in **Python (preferred) or R**.

• Experience in constructing and analyzing **A/B tests and causal inference models**.

• Capability to collaborate with **cross-functional teams** and influence product decisions through data insights.
