Senior Clinical Data Science Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, validate, and sustain programming solutions for CDMS (EDC systems such as Rave/Veeva), including data validation outputs, data review/risk management outputs, custom reports, and programs utilized in clinical trials.

• Collaborate with data managers, project managers, clinical data scientists, and biostatisticians to ensure seamless integration of programming solutions within the overall data management framework.

• Serve as the primary contact during the study setup and maintenance phase for inquiries related to system programming from the project team.

• Provide support to colleagues regarding the clinical trials environment and the principles of Clinical Data Management Systems.

• Execute data extracts from CDMS and develop data transfer programs.

• Mentor and offer guidance to junior programmers assigned to a project.

• Assist in the development and execution of enhancements to technical systems and processes in an SME capacity.

• Advise on programming best practices, coding standards, and data quality control measures.

• Keep abreast of developments in programming languages and data management tools to improve operational efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, SAS, statistics, or life sciences.

• Have extensive experience in programming for CDMS (EDC systems such as Rave/Veeva), data validation outputs, data review/risk management outputs, custom reports, and clinical trial programs, with proficiency in languages like SAS, R, or Python.

• Possess strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset suitable for a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a dedication to delivering top-quality results.

• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and influencing outcomes.

• MUST HAVE advanced English communication, writing, and reading skills.
