This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of data scientists, focusing on retention and acquisition marketing strategies.
• Supervise the creation and upkeep of production-level machine learning models in areas such as customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, multi-armed bandits, media mix modeling, and attribution.
• Manage projects centered on marketing data analysis, utilizing causal inference frameworks to evaluate the impact of initiatives and drive results.
• Incorporate LLMs into data and operations workflows to enhance throughput and scalability across various domains.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering analytical rigor within the PrizePicks Analytics Team.
• Effectively oversee projects, ensuring that deadlines and objectives are achieved while making a significant business impact.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing data science initiatives with the company’s overall and marketing objectives.
• Over 7 years of experience in data science and analytics.
• More than 5 years of experience in a role related to marketing, customer, or revenue data.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing or mentoring data scientists, analysts, or engineers.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying production-grade machine learning models in an operational support role.
• Proven track record of utilizing causal inference frameworks (e.g., difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls) to evaluate impact and drive business results.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners in Marketing, Finance, and Product.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on tasks with team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in statistics.
• Proficient in Python for statistical computing, model development, and data visualization.
• Advanced SQL skills.
