Senior Data Science Engineer, Sports Modelling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop statistical and machine learning models, integrating them into data science applications.

• Gather and engineer sports data resources to support model development.

• Implement sports models and pricing engines using Python.

• Design automated tests to verify the accuracy of models and pricing engines.

• Work in close collaboration with Trading, Product, Engineering, and QA teams to transition projects from concept to implementation.

• Evaluate data flows and model integration within a broader business context.

• Mentor and assist junior data scientists on the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong proficiency in Python, understanding of object-oriented programming principles, NumPy functions, and version control.

• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and reliability.

• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

• Experience with the machine learning lifecycle, including experimentation, reproducibility, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

• A solid understanding of data science principles and statistical modeling methodologies.

• A demonstrated enthusiasm for sports along with a strong comprehension of relevant leagues and their dynamics.

• Self-driven with a desire to enhance knowledge of Sportsbook products and associated technologies.
