Senior Data & Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage our Data & AI platform based on Databricks within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

• Design and execute CI/CD workflows using GitLab and Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.

• Ensure the platform's performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Assess emerging technologies and incorporate relevant tools, frameworks, and services.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and BI developers.

• Create and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, Spark, Asset Bundles, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, a natural science, or a related discipline.

• Several years of experience in building and managing cloud-native platforms in the Data & AI sector.

• Strong enthusiasm and experience in developing and operating Data & AI platforms, particularly with Databricks, on cloud providers like Azure or AWS.

• Proficient knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent) and CI/CD methodologies.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps best practices.

• Extensive skills in Python, SQL, Spark, etc., with a distinct emphasis on Data Engineering.

• Proficient in German and competent in English, both written and verbal.
