Senior Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Engage actively in the development and upkeep of our data pipelines and backend services.

• Integrate blockchains, Automated Market Maker (AMM) protocols, and bridges within Crystal's platform.

• Implement new technologies into our operational processes and tools.

• Design and implement features from start to finish.

• Code, debug, test, and continuously deliver features and enhancements.

• Offer code reviews, support, and constructive feedback to fellow team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, focused on backend services/APIs or data pipelines.

• Proficient in Python with substantial experience.

• Advanced SQL skills - capable of writing, understanding, and debugging complex queries.

• Strong foundation in database architecture principles.

• Extensive experience with data lakes, data warehouses, relational, and analytical databases.

• Knowledge of the POSIX/Unix/Linux ecosystem.

• Familiarity with blockchain technology or a strong willingness to learn.

• Knowledgeable in Unit Testing principles.

• Experience with Docker containers and a proven track record of migrating existing services.

• Ability to work independently and autonomously.

• Team-oriented and possess strong communication skills.
