Senior Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and develop solutions for the platform's most intricate challenges — from large-scale pipeline architecture to modeling decisions that influence multiple consuming teams;

• Conduct code reviews with a focus on technical depth, emphasizing trade-offs related to performance, cost, and maintainability;

• Act as a technical reference: investigate production discrepancies and optimize cloud expenditures;

• Collaborate with partner teams to establish how data is directed to models — discussing data contracts, latency, quality, and governance;

• Identify critical technical debt, suggest when it should be addressed, and lead the remediation efforts;

• Operate in an AI-driven environment where we leverage AI to enhance team productivity — and contribute ideas on its application in data engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or Go;

• Strong knowledge of SQL;

• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and application scalability;

• Experience with distributed processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Beam;

• Familiarity with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes;

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices;

• Experience with platform monitoring and observability;

• Proficiency in pipeline orchestration using Airflow, dbt, or Dataform;

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform solutions (e.g., BigQuery, GCS, GKE, IAM, Dataproc, Cloud SQL, Composer, Pub/Sub, Dataflow);

• Experience in managing and supporting analytical visualization platforms (Metabase, Looker, Tableau).
