Senior Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of our next-generation data platform, which is centered around streaming and domain-oriented architecture.

• Collaborate on infrastructure, tools, and streamlined pathways for data flow originating from production systems.

• Facilitate near real-time data access for analysts, engineers, AI systems, and business stakeholders.

• Advocate for platform standards, tools, and best practices within the data organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable production systems.

• Extensive experience with streaming architectures and event-driven data pipelines.

• Strong emphasis on schema governance, data quality, and management of data lifecycles.

• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms, primarily AWS or GCP, and open-source technologies that support data infrastructure, platforms, and tools.

• Proficiency with Big Data query engines and data storage solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.

• Competence in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala/Java, or other comparable languages.

• More than 5 years of experience in the design and development of large-scale, distributed systems.

• At least 5 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
