Senior Data Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine how data can be utilized to enhance decision-making processes.

• Examine data needs (both functional and non-functional) and deliver data architectural design solutions for business and technology projects.

• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and methods of data collection.

• Develop data structures, models, and pipelines, utilizing input from subject matter experts to provide business intelligence and data science capabilities for the organization.

• Construct data models at various levels, including conceptual, logical, and physical.

• Work within an agile, cross-functional team of data engineers, data analysts, UX designers, and a scrum master to implement solutions.

• Enhance batch and real-time processes for feature engineering, model training, and prediction delivery.

• Investigate, advocate for, and create best practices, guidelines, procedures, and scalable frameworks in data architecture.

• Engage in architecture, governance, and design reviews.

• Take part in assessments of current and emerging analytical technologies and offer recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, economics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to gather requirements and effectively convey technical concepts and ideas to employees and management at all levels.

• Six years of experience collaborating with end users in the development of analytical capabilities.

• Six years of practical experience in the data domain, covering data modeling, SQL-based database management systems, integration, ETL/data pipeline design, and data visualization.

• Proficient in SQL coding at an expert level.
