This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise data management capabilities, encompassing data governance, master and reference data, metadata, data quality, and the foundational pipelines that support these functions.
• Develop and operationalize data governance frameworks, which include ownership, stewardship, and policy creation.
• Execute master data management (MDM) and reference data management functionalities.
• Create practices for metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage across the platform.
• Establish data quality dimensions, key performance indicators (KPIs), and rule sets for essential data domains.
• Implement workflows for monitoring, profiling, and remediating data quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and foster continuous improvement in addressing data quality challenges.
• Design and manage comprehensive data pipelines that facilitate governance, MDM, and analytics use cases.
• Ensure that pipelines are dependable, observable, and conform to data service level agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with data and integration engineers to integrate governance and quality controls within pipelines.
• Partner with business owners and data stewards to establish critical data elements and associated policies.
• Facilitate change management and promote the adoption of data management practices among business and technology teams.
• 6–10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, and data engineering.
• Practical experience with data management tools, such as:
• ◦ Data catalogs (Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, Microsoft Purview, or similar).
• ◦ MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or similar).
• ◦ Data quality tools (Informatica DQ, Ataccama, or similar).
• Extensive experience in designing and managing data pipelines on contemporary cloud data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL; knowledge of Python or Spark is advantageous.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Control-M) and data observability.
• Comprehension of data modeling, metadata standards, and reference architectures.
• Solid understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK or equivalent).
• Awareness of data privacy, classification, and regulatory requirements (including local data residency considerations).
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive cross-functional changes.
• Structured, analytical, and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Onsite presence in Riyadh is required.
• Experience in large enterprise or government settings.
• Capability to operate within a multi-vendor delivery ecosystem.
