Senior Data Engineer – Talent Connection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to analyze business challenges and devise analytics solutions.

• Provide technical guidance to promote best practices in data modeling, ETL, and data quality.

• Create and develop data pipelines that facilitate decision-making through analytics.

• Design automated solutions to replace manual data handling processes.

• Enhance and improve reporting data models.

• Serve as an advocate for data quality by proactively identifying data quality concerns and collaborating with system owners to address issues swiftly.

• Establish relationships with senior business leaders to gather requirements and promote data analytics best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in information systems.

• More than 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining corporate relational DBMS and its components.

• Practical development experience with SQL and an ETL tool.

• Advanced SQL skills are essential. Familiarity with database design methods and experience handling very large data sets is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing methodologies, ETL processes, and dimensional data modeling.

• Programming experience in Python.

• Experience with databases and data modeling, designing component-based, open-system architecture, and complex client-server information systems.

• Knowledge of reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and services in multi-platform distributed environments, utilizing Java and/or Scala with strong object-oriented programming capabilities.

• Proficient English level is required for this position, as you will interact with US clients. Effective communication in English is crucial to delivering optimal solutions and broadening your professional horizons.
