Senior Data Engineer, SQL, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the data and analytics support queue, addressing pipeline failures, ETL/ELT errors, and Power BI dashboard issues.

• Oversee and resolve data pipeline issues within Azure and AWS environments.

• Develop and run SQL scripts for data corrections, record adjustments, and diagnostic queries.

• Provide support for Snowflake and Databricks, including query optimization, job failure diagnosis, and cluster management.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines that facilitate data operations (Tier 1 monitoring and Tier 2 remediation).

• Manage SQL-intensive overflow tickets from application support queues (HUB-Report and data corrections).

• Collaborate with the client data team on schema modifications, pipeline updates, and capacity planning.

• Execute minor data platform enhancements as needed (up to 80 engineering hours).

• Support the vehicle telematics data infrastructure and associated ingestion pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.

• Proficiency in SQL is essential.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI tools is necessary.

• Practical experience with Azure and AWS is required.

• Experience in production pipeline support is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
