This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, create, and sustain enterprise-level data pipelines on the Snowflake Data Platform.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native AI/ML solutions utilizing AWS and Azure.
• Apply best practices for data quality, observability, lineage, and governance.
• Integrate biotechnology systems such as MES, LIMS, SCADA, ERP, and QMS into a unified data platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, product engineers, platform architects, and business stakeholders.
• Enhance AI functionalities, including model deployment, monitoring, and data readiness.
• Improve data platform performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work alongside cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure adherence to GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data privacy standards.
• Advocate for CI/CD, testing, documentation, and peer-review methodologies.
• Assess and implement innovations such as data mesh, real-time streaming, digital twins, and generative AI platforms.
• Provide support to all FUJIFILM Biotechnologies locations worldwide.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or cloud platform engineering.
• Practical experience in designing and developing Snowflake data solutions, including data modeling, performance enhancement, and cost-efficient utilization.
• Proficient in building and maintaining data pipelines using contemporary frameworks like Airflow and dbt.
• Familiarity with Airflow or a comparable orchestration tool.
• Experience utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong SQL capabilities and data modeling expertise for analytics and AI applications.
• Extensive experience with both AWS and Azure.
• Proven track record of delivering production-quality data solutions.
• Understanding of biotechnology or life sciences systems and regulatory frameworks, including GxP, FDA, and EMA.
• Proficient in Python and SQL/dbt.
• Familiarity with scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data quality management, observability, lineage, and governance practices.
• Understanding of biotech IT/OT systems such as MES, LIMS, and SCADA.
• Strong problem-solving, optimization, and troubleshooting abilities for large-scale data systems.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes workload management.
