This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and manage enterprise-level data pipelines on the Snowflake Data Platform.
• Create and sustain cloud-native AI/ML solutions utilizing AWS and Azure.
• Execute data quality, observability, lineage, and governance practices.
• Integrate biotech systems such as MES, LIMS, SCADA, ERP, and QMS into a unified data platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, product engineers, platform architects, and business stakeholders.
• Support AI functionalities including model deployment, monitoring, and data readiness.
• Enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of the data platform.
• Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure compliance with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data privacy regulations.
• Advocate for CI/CD practices, testing, documentation, and peer reviews.
• Monitor emerging technologies like data mesh, real-time streaming, digital twins, and generative AI platforms.
• Provide support for all FUJIFILM Biotechnologies locations worldwide.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or cloud platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing Snowflake data solutions, including data modeling, performance optimization, and cost-effective usage.
• Experience in constructing and maintaining data pipelines with contemporary frameworks such as Airflow and dbt.
• Proficiency with Airflow or a comparable orchestration tool.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for container orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with modern AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong SQL skills and experience in data modeling for analytics and AI applications.
• Extensive experience with AWS and Azure.
• Proven track record in delivering production-grade data solutions.
• Understanding of biotech or life sciences systems and regulatory compliance frameworks such as GxP, FDA, and EMA.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL/dbt.
• Knowledge of data quality management, observability, lineage, and governance.
• Familiarity with biotech IT/OT systems, including MES, LIMS, and SCADA.
• Excellent problem-solving, optimization, and troubleshooting capabilities for large-scale data systems.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the ability to influence at senior levels.
