Senior Data Engineer, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• You will design, develop, and optimize scalable, reliable, and maintainable data pipelines and solutions in modern Data Warehouse environments, primarily working with Snowflake.

• You will participate in the design and implementation of efficient data models and solutions, applying best practices in modeling, ELT transformation, quality, governance, and performance, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and future evolution of the solutions.

• You will identify continuous improvement opportunities in processes, queries, loads, models, costs, and integration flows, contributing to the evolution of the data platform.

• You will closely collaborate with business teams and other technical areas to understand requirements, translate them into robust solutions, and ensure the delivery of reliable, traceable data ready for consumption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, working in cloud environments and modern data platforms.

• Solid experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Data Warehouses, analytical solutions, and data pipelines.

• Advanced experience with Snowflake, including performance optimization, warehouse management, and best practices for security and scalability.

• Advanced SQL proficiency for developing, analyzing, and optimizing data solutions.

• Good understanding of the Data Warehouse lifecycle and how architectural and modeling decisions impact the scalability, maintainability, performance, and cost of solutions.

• Best engineering practices: Git, version control, code review, CI/CD, testing, and collaborative work environments.

• Curiosity about emerging technologies within the data ecosystem, AI applied to data engineering, observability, and new cloud capabilities.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions.

• Proficiency in English to work in global environments and collaborate with international teams.
