Senior Data Engineer, Python, Snowflake, DBT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

• We utilize data to establish customer health scores and revenue dashboards, track operational metrics of our AWS infrastructure, enhance product engagement and user productivity through natural language processing, and generate predictive insights and causal inferences through experimentation.

• As our customer base expands, we are exploring innovative methods to harness our data for a deeper understanding of our customers’ needs and to develop new products and features that continuously enhance their customer engagement workflows.

• The Business Systems Data Engineering team is dedicated to making relevant data accessible to every individual at Outreach while fostering an insight-driven culture through the effective use of data.

• We serve as a centralized resource, offering a comprehensive suite of services to Outreach's business functions across Finance, Analytics, and Support systems, with data being the vital element for a seamless experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.

• Collaborate with Executives and Senior Managers, Principal Engineers, and cross-team Data Engineers to support strategic planning.

• Solid understanding of both RDBMS and NoSQL data stores and their appropriate applications.

• Experience with OLAP and OLTP data stores, including schema design and query optimization.

• Design, build, and implement complex data models and visualizations that cater to multiple use cases across various products or domains.

• Familiarity with distributed bus systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Proficient in at least one programming language, with a strong preference for Python.

• Experience with the Spark Ecosystem (Delta Lake, Databricks, etc.).

• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to streamline the development of data artifacts.

• Strong foundation in data modeling, schema design, and best practices for data quality, with practical experience on cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.

• Proficient in building multi-step ETL jobs using tools like dbt; experienced with workflow management platforms like Airflow and version control systems like GitHub.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, emphasizing clarity, empathy, and shared responsibility.
